- Step Back in Time -

Trolley tours begin at My Just Desserts, in the historic Simeon Ryder Building. Dating to 1845, the building served as a courthouse during the 1800s and saw cases tried by the young attorney from Springfield, Abraham Lincoln. The evening begins in the second floor meeting room, where ghost hunting tools are active and orbs are abundant.
Tours include a three-hour trolley jaunt to some Alton’s most sinister haunts…
- First stop is the Grand Theater! An architectural gem, the theater opened in 1920 and featured
both motion pictures and vaudville acts. This is a unique opportunity to explore the things that
go bump in the night before renovations begin!
- Next stop is the Piasa Masonic Lodge, most recently Spirits Lounge and the former home of
Antoinette's Haunted History Tours. This building, which dates to 1844, is filled with secrecy and intrigue.
- As always, our last stop will be the enigmatic McPike Mansion. Sitting vacant, aside from its ghostly inhabitants, this historic dwelling is the epitome of a haunted house. Join in a dark room session in the
vaulted wine cellar – where many elemental spirits reside.
Ghost hunters are encouraged to bring cameras and ghost hunting equipment.
Dinner tours include a sumptuous meal prepared by My Just Desserts; Autumn Salad, Chicken Tettrezini,
homemade roll, choice of Pumpkin Pecan Pie or Toll House Brownie and coffee or iced tea. Dinner tours begin on the first floor, 31 East Broadway in Alton, IL. Waking the Dead, Bare Bones and Witching Hour tours begin on the second floor.
